History
Wellspring Care Services was established in 2013 by Elaine Thomas (Company Director) Elaine has been a foster carer for 11 years and she has had many young people who have left her to move onto independent living. What she observed is that there was a huge shortfall in the provisions for leaving care support.
Elaine believed that the transition period between full-time care and independence was the most important and significant for young people in care and thus decided to establish a company that could offer the type of care she felt was missing.
In February 2012 Elaine established Wellspring Social Care, which concentrated on the provision of semi-independent care and support, Wellspring Social Care grew and developed a positive relationship with practitioners and young people.
In January 2013 Elaine thought about the different way that she could expand her care services. As a result, Elaine decided to incorporate children and family services into the company and decided to rebrand her business, image and services. Consequently in June 2013 Wellspring Care Services, For Children, Young People and Families was established.
